2105 Power Amplifier
This McIntosh 2105 came into the
store "dead". It does not turn on.
The amplifier was taken apart, and each stage was turned on one by one using
a Variac, this revealed capacitors which have been shorted. Some are
leaking due to age.
All of them were replaced and the
amplifier was sounding just "FINE" afterwards.
Due to the age of the amplifier,
we also performed a cleaning of most of the accessible areas.
