This preamp had been previously modified with an upgrade package performed by an unknown individual.   

Our bench test revealed distortion levels which were much higher than factory specifications.  Certain   segments of circuit had been inappropriately tempered with.  The modifications were unnecessary, ineffective and amateurish.  It involved the use of exotic capacitors of inappropriate values and expensive resistors at the wrongs places.   The modification also added unnecessary circuitry which were aggressive, out of place and dangerous.

We remove ALL the unnecessary upgrades and restored the entire preamp back to the original factory design.   The unit was subsequently bench tested to meet factory specification.

The customer was extremely happy with the results.
