Golden Tube Audio
The customer brought the
amplifier in for a bench test after a tube was blown.
He also said that the high frequency was rolled off on
the top end. On the bench test, the
amplifier showed a frequency response of only up to
around 16 khz.
We replaced certain
capacitors on the unit, and also upgraded certain
components on the amplifier.
Subsequent bench test met
factory specification. Frequency response
was back to normal.
Total cost of repair plus upgrade: $
